Actor Mohnish Bahl was among the people who were caught off-guard on the fateful night of 26th November when terror struck South Mumbai. Colaba resident Mohnish had gone to the nearby Inox multiplex at Nariman Point that evening to watch a film.

Mohnish, along with the rest of the patrons were shocked out of their wits after they stepped out of the multiplex just a little after 10pm after the film was over.

They could clearly hear the loud gun shots from the nearby Taj Mahal Hotel and Oberoi Trident. As news came in to them about the CST station firing as well, it prompted them to run back into the multiplex.

Mohnish remained inside Inox till around 12 am and left for his house but there were around 80-100 people more who ended up spending the night at Inox.

Amongst these 80-100 people was leading C.P. Berar distributor Ajay Rathi's son, Akshay Rathi who had gone to Inox that evening to watch Hollywood action flick, Death Race.

Akshay stated that the management of Inox rose to the occasion and threw open the cafeteria for the stranded people.

In fact, the persons on duty even managed to get rice and dal, cooked the same for the people and served the meal to them after all their regular supplies in the cafeteria were over. Akshay Rathi reached his hostel at Chowpatty, where he lives, at 9 o'clock the next morning.
